From: "CapCom" Subject: SW1...MAPPED!!...BMP3 Yup, this is the map of SW1 (BMP3). Took me awhile to finish, so ya better like it! First think I wanna go over is BMP3. This is divided into two parts. The first is above row 9 and is the new area that Gamer Genie Metroid and what's-his-name (sorry! Forgot again!) found (it's the screwed-up area with Samus' ship. This is divided into three main rooms, one with Sam's ship, room S1 (shadow of room 1) is where you start the game. There's a missile pod and e-ball inside the ship. The room directly above that (read about it on the map...theres a LOT of text there!) doesn't contain the ship, but is the area you enter via GGM's method. You can also enter from the top of room 3 (go through the secret passage and do the Trick) or through the left side of room 185, also using the Trick. There's probably others, but haven't found 'em yet! The room to the left of this is the large area that's at the end of the game. There's just a missile pod inside the ship. The lower area, or the entrance to SW1, has a bunch of rooms from the beginning of the game and the end of the game (this leads you to a shadow of the Omega Metroid area). See map. There are three different Metroid Queen rooms here. The first, B-8, is the place after you kill the Queen. The second, H-13, is before killing her, with the place blocked off. To the left, G-13, is probably where the Queen is. Unfortunately, I think you can only get to her by falling DOWN, which means going through the right side of room 181! Heading left through the blocked-off passage leads you left, down, and right, or into the left wall of the Ice Beam room. Other info from BMP3: B-8: Head left to enter the Larva's room. Use the trick to head right, and into shadow ruins, or the area that you can't go anywhere but up and leads you to S95 and S96 (changes to Shipworld if already exited BMP3, or pieces of Sam's ship.) G-13: Head left to (sorry haven't figured that out yet. Think you go to Ice Beam room). Head down into the Ice Beam Room. H-13: Head down to get to the Ice Beam Room. Head right and go into... The shadow of the Omega Zone is actually a sub-world that's part of SW1 (SW1 includes shadows of the end of the game and the beginning). There's another map for this area. Entering areas at the beginning of the game (except for S3) won't allow you to return, though you can head to room 4 and use GGM's secret to enter the re-enter. Rooms from the Omega Zone CAN be used to reenter BMP3... You can go between rooms in SLS, SLS2 (the area w/o the ship), and S1 to get to the rest of BMP3. See the map of Omega Zone for more info. C-3 is room S161 (right side). G-8 is part of either room 160, 166, or 168. The BMP blocks are grid D-12 on the BMP. Grids A-4 and A-5 have not been explored. All the rules of BMP apply to this area (head off one end of the screen, enter the other.) Individual Grid rooms of a BMP are 16x16 blocks. These are divided into 16x16 pixels. The entire BMP is 16x16 grids. I'll send you the map of the Omega Zone sometime tomorrow (it's finished, but I haven't got it in presentable form yet ;) If there's anything missing from this, please tell me!
